We are currently seeking motivated Civil Construction Laborers to join our team. As a labourer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our clients' construction projects. From assisting with site preparation to operating equipment and performing general labour tasks, your skills and hard work will contribute to the successful completion of each project.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with site preparation, including clearing debris, leveling ground, setting up barriers, cleaning rendering pits
- If ticketed, operate a variety of construction equipment, such as jackhammers, compactors, in a safe and efficient manner
- Perform manual labour tasks, including digging trenches, pouring concrete, and carrying materials
- Follow instructions from supervisors and communicate effectively with team members
- Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite, including proper storage of tools and equipment
- Collaborate with other trades and contractors to ensure smooth project execution
- Report any issues, delays, or hazards to the supervisor immediately
Qualifications:
- Essential experience in civil construction or sub-division.
- Physical fitness and strength to perform manual labour tasks and lift heavy objects
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently when required
- Safety certifications such as Construction White Card or OSHA training are a plus
