What is the Position?

PartsBadger is seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated QA Analyst to join our team. As a QA Analyst, you will be responsible for assisting in the quality assurance process and ensuring that our software applications meet the highest standards of quality and performance. You will work closely with Software QA Engineer and developers to identify and resolve issues, perform tests, and contribute to the overall improvement of our products.

The ideal candidate will be a detailed planner, and top-notch analyst with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with both technical and non-technical team members.

Work Environment:

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business groups to identify, document, and communicate business needs and provide IT solutions.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities. Plan, facilitate and execute system/functional testing and UAT for projects and enhancements to ensure software applications meet functional requirements and adhere to best practices.
  • Collaborate with the QA team to understand project requirements and develop test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Execute manual tests to ensure the quality and functionality of software applications.
  • Identify, document, and report defects and inconsistencies in software applications and track them through to resolution.
  • Assist in the identification and implementation of quality assurance processes and best practices to improve overall software quality.
  • Conduct regression testing to verify that defects have been resolved and new functionalities meet requirements.
  • Participate in the review and analysis of business requirements and technical design documents to ensure testability and coverage.
  • Perform exploratory testing to uncover potential defects and ensure the application meets user expectations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and product managers, to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, such as improving testing processes.
  • Analyze, communicate, and track success through audits, metrics and KPIs
  • Develop knowledge of PartsBadger core systems, applications and processes.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge and drive continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong ability to work across the organization in order to seamlessly identify process improvements, create process flows and lead process initiatives from start to finish.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing methodologies.
  • Familiarity with software testing tools and bug tracking systems - Jira, TestRail.
  • Knowledge of manual testing techniques and experience in executing test cases.
  • Basic understanding of programming concepts and the ability to read and understand code.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and clearly report issues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
  • Working knowledge of Agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban, and familiarity with Agile project management tools like Azure DevOps or Jira.
  • Familiar with various types of project management and business analysis software.
  • Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skill

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • Experience in Manufacturing
